Emotional distress is known as a state of discomfort where people are afflicted by some feelings that are oppressing them. The most common causes are related to an imbalance of what individual wants and their level of satisfaction with what they have.
This imbalance is produced by different aspects such as culture, background, and inheritance. It is not possible to conclude what is the most accurate cause of individual emotional distress because nobody is the same as others, but what if is for sure, people are the most emotionally oppressed by those that they want and they cannot have it, regardless the specific reason, people who are desiring to do or to have something that never comes are more likely to be emotionally distressed.
One explanation is the level of frustration that people can develop as consequence of unaccomplished desires and what it could represent by their lives. Emotional distress is a common cause of physical deterioration that most of the times are overlooked, people are looking answers for their health condition but they have no clue what the explanation of their physical condition is an emotional distress that is probably with them since so long time.
The emotional distress even when there is not too much investigated at the beginning of the physical examination, could be the most frequent cause of rapid heart rate, skin diseases, migraine, and high blood pressure, that could be treated with medicine, but, the most effective solution is taking action to deal with the causes of the emotional distress reducing their effects on health.
When individuals are involved in conflictive situations that are not possible to solve, or are affecting them of an unexpected way emotional distress could appear affecting their health at the end. The most recommendable strategy to address emotional distress is treating the causes since traditional medicine could be a temporary relief but treating the real causes of emotional distress will produce permanent and sustainable results.
Emotional distress is impacting negatively the people health to the extent they do not realize what is affecting them and do not take any action to address it. Be aware of what is affecting people emotions could be the first step to improve their health given that many times the overall wellness starts with mental health.
At the extent we will be able to spend time trying to find what the real roots of the emotional distress are, we will be more likely to enjoy a good mental health, but above all, we will have a comprehensive wellness at the end.
