Many investigations have been made regarding the depression causes, increasingly people are involved in at least one episode of depression throughout their lives, and many are the positions that researchers, churches, and families are taking concerning the depression roots. However, what is the best strategy to avoid it, not all questions have been answered.

Depression is a mood disorder that prevents people to enjoy their day-to-day life because put them in a deeply discouraged and aboulic condition. The absence of willpower and motivation is getting worse until those persons are unable to keep themselves alive that is why it is well known about the suicide attempts in severe depression and social isolation.

One of the most frequent origins of depression is discontent with ourselves, it is the feeling of discomfort with who we are, or what are we doing, this feeling is accompanied by a severe damage to our self-esteem and self-confidence, people who are feeling dissatisfaction about themselves are more likely to have at least one depressive episode in their lives.

The dissatisfaction was born of a profound root of social comparison and lack of positive reinforcements to praise people achievements and lack of affective affirmation. Many families are involved in this lifestyle where nobody says anything good to praise others, even seeing that he or she deserves it.

These accumulated sensations of abandonment, rejection, and loneliness are responsible for a state of dissatisfaction that at the end is leading people to depressive symptoms having as consequence health deterioration. Currently, social comparison is the first cause of people dissatisfaction because there is a compelling need to check latest updates in social networking sites that bring as consequence to see photos and images that most of the times are surreal making to look some persons as someone that they are not.

That searching brings as a consequence that people feel more unconformity with who they are or have in comparison to others, this sensation is increasing at the extent people do not have the opportunity to be persuaded of the contrary, assuming that others are better than them underestimating what they are or have.

As result, depressive symptoms begin to appear, people feel that it has no sensed for their lives, they have not purpose or even a goal to accomplish because there is no sense, it is not worth, such condition worsens the initial symptoms having at the end, an unlimited cycle of dissatisfaction, frustration, sadness, that affect people health overall.

To treat and even avoid depressive symptoms, it is necessary that people recognize what are the causes that are triggering dissatisfaction on their lives, what are those aspects that are imperative to be treated or to prevent them.

In short, developing the ability of being mindful about what people are living and why they are living it, could be a good strategy to enjoy life accepting who they are, and accepting the fact that everybody is different and there is no reason to be compared with others, everyone is what is and have the potential to be the best in whatever they do, the comparison at the end worsens preexistent depressive symptoms, not only by the dissatisfaction but also by self-esteem deterioration.
