It is well known the importance of sleep since unmemorable times, however, many people are unaware that sleep could define the possibility to be better in whatever thing they do, or fail in whatever thing they do without an apparent reason, in fact, a good pattern of sleep would guarantee a positive way to see the life, reducing crisis of depression and anxiety improving their quality of life.
A good pattern of sleep is related to a better academic performance, a better attitude in difficult situations and better mood. There are many studies that are supporting the hypothesis that a good sleep signifies better health outcomes, but, how we can explain these findings? or even better, how we can persuade people to understand the importance to sleep in a practical way?
Many scientific studies have determined that in average, adult should sleep ideally eight hours, however, at least six or seven continues hours are enough to achieve his/her maximum potential increasing their performance, they say that people who have not the possibility to sleep enough time, are likely to be cranky, intolerable, tired and less collaborative throughout of day, the explanation is that the human brain needs to be disconnected of external stimulus for a certain period of time to recover his optimum functioning. When people are in sleep deprivation are interrupting the normal functioning of the brain due it is not possible to recover it completely, then it starts a process of releasing of uncountable chemical substances to compensate the unmet needs, what put the all nervous system in an emergency to give an answer to all body requests. These chemical substances are mostly neurotransmitters that are able to stimulate the releasing of other substances that induce heartbeat frequency increment, high blood pressure, and overstimulation of nervous system, more fatigue and less cognitive ability to carry out complex activities.
Nowadays, people are having increasingly less time to sleep because there are very tight schedules to accomplish more activities and, finally, to get for a better salary, however they are ending exhausted most of them because there are uncountable objectives to carry out in a short period of time, which is overwhelming. The high competitiveness that has characterized the majority of work places and labor market overall, has an accelerated rhythm that often overlooks the basic needs of people or even their well-being, certainly, the day to day is a constant battle to be the best in a short period of time no matter what do we need to invest for achieving something, or even worse, what do we need to lose to get it.
Often, as human beings have the tendency to prioritize our occupations in a first place leaving in a second place our health, being the multiple activities of the day more important for at least to achieve occupy certain privileged places in the society. But the question is, what is the price that we need to pay to achieve our goals and what are we willing to leave behind to get the first place in the society, this is what undoubtedly will define the success in our professional career.
In this sense, is indispensable to take the decision that would represent the first step to be better, regardless of our daily occupations, or our personal challenges, the self-determination to take advantage of the hours per day will bring with it the need to establish a healthy sleep routine that will be working to the extent that we are willing to take the time to perform it. It is important to remark that every decision starts with the individual self-determination and this, in turn, begins with the minimum knowledge about what is more convenient for our lives and how much matter for us and our family.
It looks like a small detail without importance, but, sleep deprivation could be responsible for increasingly more family conflicts, and low academic and professional performance nowadays, even worse, experts have related serious marriage problems and communicational disorders with the inability to get a healthy sleep pattern every day. The explanation could be the high levels of conflictive that people in normal situations used to bear daily, and now as a consequence of lack rest, they are unmanageable, for this reason, when they are in the middle of a minor conflict or a light disagreement, which had been accustomed, they end exploiting exposing negative attitudes that bring with in a heavy culpability sensation that enclose a vicious circle of action and reaction deteriorating the interpersonal relationships at the end.
If a good sleep pattern is the key to a long and abundant life is easy to deduce when we apply basic knowledge about the health and the effects of sleep for human body recovery, but, the truth is that there are not enough scientific studies with strong evidence for so long period of time about people who dedicated enough time to sleep throughout of their lives have more chance to increase their life expectancy, however, there are studies about sleep patterns in elderly people who have good sleep periods and their health condition improves, what could be suggesting that good sleep patterns enhance people's quality of life and could increase life expectancy after all.
What if it is for sure, is that effects of sleep are tremendously beneficial for the human body when people are going through health challenges or even by mental conditions, for this reason, some scientific recommended that people who are affected should be evaluated and treated on basis of good patterns of sleep because they have evidenced a fast and satisfactory recovery in comparison with people who had not the possibility to spend enough time sleeping.
Sleep is a natural process of human body that is absolutely necessary for to live healthy and happy, probably will be the key for a long and healthy life because when people feel good can experience positive attitudes, these behaviors improve the interpersonal relationships and if the people can interact positively each other will enhance the environment at the end, if the surroundings are better, for sure many people will keep healthy, because they will be happy and people happy have more possibilities to live more years having quality of life because they will have better attitudes toward life.
All in all; a good pattern of sleep can reduce anxiety, stress, and depression episodes, improving the people mood and the solving problems ability in a positive way. It also can influence how well people react, learn, think, and work, but, the more important is how people are getting along with others, a good pattern of sleep is able to affect the interpersonal relationships and how to get emotions under control in every moment, coping effectively with life’s changes without affecting negatively their lives.
On basis of above described, what do you think? Will be important take a time to enjoy a properly sleep period?
